Press Packs
Press packs are essential when doing an exhibition. Put them in the show's press office so that visiting journalists can take them away and use information they contain for their show reviews. They are also a useful tool for inspiring them to visit your stand to find out more about your company/product.
How to prepare a press pack
* Clear wallet folders are popular with journalists as they allow them to see the press information and are easy to carry around / take away with them whilst keeping the press information all together. * Whatever type of 'pack' you choose, make sure it is labelled clearly with your company name, logo and your show stand number.
What a press pack should contain
* Press releases! Suggestions include releases on products you are showing or launching; on-stand events or promotions you are doing; seminars you may be hosting / speaking at; any relevant company news stories. * Company information including a short synopsis of the company and it's activities; facts such as turnover, market share, number of employees, company milestones etc. * Contact details for journalist should they need any further information or want to arrange an interview/meeting. * A CD of all the press information and high-resolution images to make it easy for editors to use your information. Again, this should be labelled with your company name, logo and stand number. * 'Traditional' hard copies are also popular with journalists as they allow them to see your information and images instantly, so don't forget to include these as well.
Other tips
* Put the most exciting release at the front of the pack. * Don't overload the press packs with press releases - it's quality not quantity the editors want! * Don't be tempted to insert company brochures - the editors want press information
