Baudet is one of the leading manufacturers of pre-fabricated bathroom pods. Baudet UK appointed Vantage at the start of 2008 to mount a full PR media relations campaign to raise its profile across the building and specification media to generate sales leads and open the door to new markets.
The company's general manager Simon Merckel explains how PR is helping to grow the business:
"The most important target for Baudet UK was to raise brand awareness. Although we had an established market, no one knew the name Baudet. With the targeted PR campaign driven by Vantage, we have seen some excellent coverage in a wide variety of publications including several major feature articles is our key trade magazines.
General responses for information have been very good, and we are definitely starting to see results from these.
We have received several requests for quotations and invitations to tender as a direct result of the editorial coverage. This has included enquiries from our existing markets (typically student accommodation) and requests for information and prices from markets that we are trying to penetrate (residential care).
From my previous experience, PR has always been a difficult 'expense' to measure and justify but I can say with absolute confidence that in our first nine months of working with Vantage the results are very visible and measurable.
The choice of how to spend a limited budget was not easy and I have to say that I feel totally satisfied that PR and the choice of Vantage was the correct one."
